Starting lineups for the 2012 All-Star Game have been decided according to votes given by hockey fans around the world. The fans voted the starting lineup consisting of 1 goaltender, 2 defenseman, 1 left wing, 1 center and 1 right wing for both North America All-Stars and World All-Stars. This years All-Star weekend starts Saturday February 8 with the Super Skills competition and continues on Sunday February 9 with the clash between the North America All-Stars and the World All-Stars.

8-2-2012 NHL All-Star Skill Competitions
The annual All-Star event kicked off today with the skill competitions. Team North America and Team World competed in six different races and the fans got to see their stars shine.

Team North America won the puck control relay with a team of Rick Nash, Duncan Keith and Steven Stamkos.

Marian Gaborik of Team World won the fastest skater competition, beating Duncan Keith in the final.

Zdeno Chara of Team World won the hardest shot competition with a result of 102 MPH, beating Joe Thornton in the final.

Sidney Crosby of Team North America won the accuracy shooting competition, beating Ilya Kovalchuk in the final.

Henrik Lundqvist of Team World won the goalie competition (pass&score), beating Chet Pickard in the final.

Team North America won the breakaway relay with a team of Rick Nash, Mike Green and Jarome Iginla.

The yearly clash between Team North America and Team World will take place tomorrow.

9-2-2012 NHL All-Star Game
Team North America has won the annual NHL All-Star game with a score of 13-9. Game MVP was Duncan Keith.

A native of Canada, Duncan Keith was originally drafted to the NHL by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2nd round of the 2002 entry draft. He has appeared in 540 NHL games during his career, notching 66 goals and adding 221 assists along with 348 penalty minutes. The 28 year old defenseman has played 54 games with the Chicago Blackhawks this season, totalling 10+32=42 with 14 PIM.
